The Control Room
The Control Room is our live demo, built on EQ Coherence™: an observability, operations and control interface for a power system instrumented with EQ Wave™. The system sits in our lab, with utility supply, battery backup and UPS-protected loads, including motor-driven equipment and an edge server running live AI workloads. You operate it from your browser and watch the response live, from key metrics and events down to the AC waveforms themselves.

The evidence gap
A voltage sag from a grid fault miles away, or a transfer to backup power, lasts a fraction of a second, yet can wreak havoc on your infrastructure and operations. Neither SCADA nor traditional power quality (PQ) analyzers can tell you quickly what happened, and often they cannot tell you at all without a post-event engineering campaign. SCADA is too coarse to see these events, and unless a PQ analyzer’s trigger fires, the evidence is gone in the blink of an eye.
EQ Wave™ and EQ Coherence™ close that gap by recording every cycle gapless at 32,000 samples per second, so an event is on screen as it unfolds, and its precursors and effects stay on record for weeks before and after. In a facility, that means proof of what a generator, UPS or transfer switch actually did, a disturbance traced to the feeder or machine where it began, and an evidence base for root-cause reviews, utility conversations and compliance. The Control Room lets you see it work on a live system.
What you can do
- Operate the system. Start a motor on a programmable AC source, ramp its speed, and find its mechanical resonance. Cut utility power and watch the UPS transfer to battery.
- See the whole system. A live single-line diagram shows what is energized, what is on backup and how much power each device is using.
- See every cycle. EQ Wave™ is a Waveform Measurement Unit (WMU) that records Continuous Point-on-Wave (CPOW) data at 32 ksps. Transients, inrush and source changes appear in full, not as periodic RMS averages. Zoom from monthly energy and power quality trends down to the single cycle where something changed.
- Read the spectrum. A live spectrogram up to 8 kHz resolves interharmonics down to 1 Hz, beside live oscilloscope and phasor views on every channel.
- Watch and listen. A live camera and microphone show the physical response next to the measurement.
- Load the edge computer. Run a GPU workload on the gateway that hosts the demo, and see its electrical footprint and energy per operation.
What’s inside
The Control Room
- Supply, load and energy state for the whole site, with disturbances indexed to the point that recorded them
- Topology-agnostic system state from EQ Wave™ measurement and equipment-reported status
- Continuous point-on-wave at the service entrance, on feeders and at key equipment
- Control and protection, from the web interface or automated: backup and UPS engagement, load switching and compute workloads, each confirmed and visible in the live waveform
- Site and equipment events linked in real time, using each device’s spec, context and role
- A log for every monitored asset, with health trends and condition forecasts for predictive maintenance
EQ Coherence™
- Live oscilloscope, spectrum and complex-plane views on every channel, phase-locked to the supply
- Direct access to the live and historical raw waveform, over the network or in-process through a language-agnostic foreign function interface (FFI)
- Drill-down from monthly energy metrics to sub-cycle waveforms, with spectral analysis up to 8 kHz
- Real-time ingest beyond power monitoring and waveform: UPS status and battery charge, edge compute from kernel interfaces (CPU, GPU, thermals, per-rail power) and service health, on the same event timeline as power quality
- Compute runs traced from wall power to CUDA kernels, with energy attributed to the workload
- Waveform and operational streams correlated in real time: per instrument, across instruments and sitewide
- Power quality alerts and events attributed to their device and topology location
Releasing soon
- Power quality events cross-correlated with device logs, to show any effect on the equipment
- Historical interop: PQDIF (IEEE 1159.3) and COMTRADE (IEEE C37.111) records from third-party PQ meters, relays and PMUs, analyzed beside our own capture
- Custom, user-generated algorithms injected into the real-time Coherence pipeline through our FFI, checked by our proprietary code safety verification system
- EQ Syntropy™, our cyber-physical AI layer
How it works
- Book a session. Choose a time and tell us your name, email and company. You can add a note about your application.
- Set up your account. We send an email from our sign-in service with a link to set your password.
- Sign in at demo.eq.systems. Access opens the day before your session and stays open for 14 days after it, so you can return and explore on your own.
During the booked session, an engineer walks you through the Control Room and answers questions about your own systems.

Good to know
- The system is shared and physical. When another visitor is driving it, you see their changes live.
- The system runs inside a safety envelope: sources ramp softly, load limits are enforced in software, and power cuts are rate-limited.
- The demo shows our lab only. It contains no customer data.
- Control Room demo session history may be retained and used to improve Energy Quotient™ products (privacy policy).
- The Control Room is a beta release. New features deploy to it continuously; see “Releasing soon” above.
Next step
If your operation needs real-time power system intelligence, from energy and equipment visibility down to waveform-level diagnostics, the next step is a pilot: EQ Wave installed in your facility, your equipment and systems integrated live, and the full depth of your own data in EQ Sight™.
